Sighing heavily she sank to the ground, all her weight on the balls of her feet. Her hands covering her face. Her wings seemed to sag a little. Avi's eyes seemed conserned, but didn't what to interfere with the girls....Kahlen needed to work this one out on her own. It seemed for a moment that the angel didn't seem to hear her. Then she looked up, her emtions a bit more under control. Sighing again, she made herself speak. "I really don't know."she said honestly to the girl that seemed to have so much in comomn with her. "You see I can not remember anything before a year ago." she explained her eyes locked onto a root near Skye's foot. "At times it seems that I can remember something...but then nothing. When I said your voice sounds like an angels...I almost grasped something....but it was pulled away again." Avi growled softly to comfort her, Kahlen then leaned back. Her back against a tree, her bare feet out in front of her. After a moment she looked up at Skye, she didn't want to burden the girl with her own problems. "You make your own clothes? I would never be able to do that, their seem to be a lot of dense people around here. But I think they tease us because they feel insecure about themselves...Or they envy us!"she chuckled, shrugging her shoulders. For a moment she just needed to forget about her past and her problems.

Skye listened to what Kahlen was saying, taking it in. How horrible would that be...? Not being able to remember your past... For a while, Skye was silent, not saying anything, and the only sound was the rain gently falling. She got a far off look in her eyes, as if trying to imagine what it would be like. "I'm sorry..." she said quietly, looking off into the distance. Then, at the change of subject, Skye blinked slowly and then looked over at Kahlen. She looked at her blankly for a moment and then slowly began to brighten up. She nodded and said, "Yes...I make most of them. But...the other students seem to think it's stupid. No matter which school I go to, once they find out I'd become the laughing stock of the school." She gave an annoyed sigh and then added, "That's why I figured it's best to be silent. Then no one can make fun of you...or at least not for that, anyway. And eventually...you just become invisible..." She trailed with a long sigh. She hadn't said this much in years. This had to be the most talking she'd ever done in her whole life. She'd always been fairly quiet...even with her own parents. How was it that she could say so much to this girl...? Skye snapped out of her thoughts, realizing that she was spacing out, one of her bad habits. She blinked a fwe times and then pointed to her dress. "Here's an example...I made this dress..." She didn't mean to sound like she was bragging or anything...and for a moment she wished she hadn't said it. She remembered what happened she she showed off... But this wasn't really showing off was it...? She was simply showing this girl her work...

"Oh, don't worry about. I have been living with it for a year..." she said, trying to said like she really didn't care. But deep down she really did. She wanted to know...she wanted to remember. She needed too....maybe Tristan could help...maybe he could trigger something, but he was little busy right now. She listened intently at what Skye was saying, a litle envious that the girl could make her own clothes, and beautiful ones at that. When she pointed to the dress that she had one, Kahlen gasped a little, her eyes widening a bit as she looked at it. "Oh, it's lovely Skye. I don't understand why you would be teased for something so beautiful." but she did understand why, weren't her wings supposed to be beautiful, and she was teased about them almost everyday. Her clothing choices also were made fun of....going bare-foot or with boots...how odd. But she shrugged it of, looking off into the trees wondering why the forest was so silent...could it be that even the trees were listening to their conversation? The only sound beside their voices was Avi purring...and purring loudly.

"Thank you..." Skye said with a small smile. She wasn't used to being complimented on such things. Usually, she'd just get laughed at...Either that or someone would come straight out and say how ugly her clothes were. She wasn't exactly sure why...but she had an idea. Could it simply be because it was different...? Not that they were ugly, not that they were strange, and not that looked bad...But because they were different...? She thought about this for a few moments, seeming to drift off for a second. It seemed that humans didn't like things that were different from what they were used to. Or, maybe not that they didn't like it...maybe it was something else... Skye drifted back into reality. She blinked slowly and then looked around. She let out a quiet sigh, leaning back against the huge tree behind them. She rested her head against it, listening. She too noticed the silence...The rain had stopped now...and everything was still...There was no noise except for Avi's loud purring. Skye didn't say anything for a while...listening to the silence that surrounded them...

Kahlen was silent as well, listening to the sounds of the forest. pawprints of wolves, clop of deer on the rocks. Chirping of squirrels, songs of the various birds, the Chickadee, the robin, the woodpecker. So many sounds, so many smells. Sighing sadly, Kahlen crossed her arms lightly, her blue eyes watching the wind shift the leaves on top of the trees. Avi's golden eye's were closed seeming to listen as well. He had stopped purring, his tail was still thumping the hard ground, making brown pine needles flip into the air. "I always forget how peaceful this place can be..."she muttered mostly to herself, this place was supposed to be her prison. A place she should hate...but she didn't hate it. She just wanted it to be a place that she freely come too. A place that she could come and go like any other student. Sighing again, she glanced at Avi's tail watching it thump the ground, it soon became a rhytum...another sound that filled the forest.

Skye nodded slowly, listening to the sounds around them. It was relaxing...It almost seemed like another world right now. "I know..." she said quietly, as if afraid that the slightest sound would destroy the peace. "I like it here..." She closed her eyes for a moment, leaning back against the tree. Ebony was silent now too, peeking out of the bag with her large curious eyes. After a few moments, Skye said slowly, "I used to live in the city..." Her voice was soft and quiet as she spoke, as if reliving the memory. "It was so much different there...There was the sound of car horns...police sirens...pretty much any sound you could think of. Everything except this...that is." She made a slight gesture to their beautiful surroundings. "Maybe that's why I like this place...Right here...It's almost like a sanctuary." And in a way...it was. Or, at least to Skye, that is. She'd never been anywhere like this before, living her whole life in the jam packed city. Skye opened her mouth to say more, but then shut it again, seeming to realize that she was talking out loud. She blinked slowly. "Er...I must be saying a buch of nonsense...huh?" She diverted her hazel eyes to the ground.

"No, it's not nonsense..." she said, looking from the trees to her companion. "I have never been to a city before, well at least that I can remember. But your right, this place is like a santuary...a place to go when you are troubled or mad...or something..."she muttered softly, folding her hands in her lap. Avi started to purr again, this time trying to nose the little kitten. He was still quite curious about the little thing. Kahlen wanted to laugh at his face, it was no unlike him.....to be so curious...so playful...and so nice to strangers. But she was beening so unlike herself too, she never talked this much to someone, well not if she didn't have too.

A raven flew silently in the gray sky, almost blending in with the dark clouds, but from the bird's eye point of view it could see everything. But it wasn’t looking for food, or a dry place to stay, though the treetops did look inviting it had something more important to find. Its beady eyes pin-pointed two figures in the forest, it began going in circles like a vulture above them so that it wouldn’t lose sight of them.
Down in the forest, two souls.
Shadows were cast in the forest dancing on the ground as the trees swayed, but one moved past the trees and weaved its way through the forest in the shape of an angel. It went quickly and unnoticed, though there weren’t many to notice it.
Two, do you think…?
The shadow went even deeper, gaining speed; it blended in with the trees snuck around them without a shape, and came back into view until it was racing along the ground. The raven cawed loudly, though its call was drown out by the rain.
Maybe. I sense something powerful in them, master they may not be safe.
The shadow stopped, resting on a tree until a shape like a hand came out in three dimensions, and the rest of the shadow followed until it was standing as if alive. Two large black wings came from the shadow and flapped gently, the darkness began sliding off as if the rain was washing it away and revealed a face. Piercing blue eyes stared out of the face and the figure stood there until the darkness was completely gone from the shadow. Griffin was shivering, his silver hair sticking to his forehead dripping wet with rain, his black clothes were soaked and almost as heavy as the sword that rested by his side.
I have nothing to lose.
Griffin lifted his eyes up to the sky blinking away the water, he couldn’t see the raven but he could hear him, its voice was hoarse as it spoke through his thoughts. He walked farther through the forest too weak to morph back into a shadow; he had been traveling for days. The forest was spinning; he felt light headed and could barely keep his eyes open. Life really sucked on earth. Blood dripped from a cut near his eye, but he ignored it. Now he could see the souls they were only a short distance away. One had wings like him and he too sensed something in her; power, yes, but something more… sorrow, much like his. He stumbled between two trees he was now in clear view of them; he must have looked like the angel of death, he sure felt like it. Lighting cracked behind him. The two figures became blurry; he staggered forward but lost control and collapsed on the ground. The world went dark and he lost sense of all things.
The raven dove down into the forest coming out in front of the two girls squawking at them furiously, desperately trying to talk to them.

She was about to say something to Skye, but then her feathers bristled, the hair on the nape of her neck stood straight up. Something was here. Something that felt familiar. Glancing up from Avi, who was growling at her side, she saw something that she never knew she see again, an angel. She gasped, quickly standing up as the ligthening cracked on the ground behind him. "Oh." she said suddenly, rushing forward. But Avi blocked her way, his own fur bristling, his mouth curled up in a snarl...
Avi!! He may be able to help me remember!!
She screamed at him though there link, the angel was collasped on the ground and she was just standing there. But the tiger didn't move, his hackles raising at the raven that was swauking at them. I don't trust it Kahlen...he smells wrong...
Was all he said, Kahlen laid a hand on his head, bending down to his level, "Don't worry dahling, if he threatens me you are right there...to protect me..." she stroked his head, his anger slowly fading. He lowered his gaze and moved out of her way. Growling a warning to her. Glupping down fear, the fallen angel moved forward. Ignoring the bird flapping its wings at her. Her lgiht blue eyes looked over the body of the angel as she apporached, her steps slow and cautious. Finally she reached him. He was knocked out cold. His wings were so much like hers...the same shape the same bright feathers, though his were black. His wing span was probably larger then hers...but that didn't matter...he was an angel....someone of her race here on earth. Why was he here? Was he here to kill her? Because her punishment wasn't enough? Bending down, she laid a hand on his cheek, blood dripped from a stratch near his eye. He was something she couldn't remember ever seeing. But she knew he was an angel. Her eyes looked him over carefully, drinking in his scent. Trying to pry any memory to the surface...nothing. Not even this angel could remind her of her time in heaven....She brushed some dirt and leaves off his face. Her full weight on the balls of her feet, silently waiting for him to wake up. Noting that he carried a sword...much like her own back at the school.

Skye's eyes widened and for a few moments she sat where she was. She watched as Kahlen slowly made her way over towards him, now knowing if she should follow or stay. She blinked slowly, unsure. Ebony peeked out of her bag, looking over in that direction curiously. She let out a slight mew, trying to struggle free from the bag again. Skye gently shoved her back in. She had to get over this obsession of being afraid of everyone. After all...not everyone was out to get her, like back home. Here, maybe...just maybe...she could change? She knew that was part of the reason people tended to tease her. Because she was too shy...to quiet. So, maybe if she could be a little braver...? Slowly, she got to her feet. She stood by the huge tree for a moment, looking out ahead of her. Her posture suggested that she was still undecided. But, after a few moments, she took a few hesitant steps forward, coming up behind where Kahlen was. Skye stood behind her, silent, looking down at Griffin with her hazel eyes. She walked a little closer, so that she was next to Kahlen. The heels of her boots sunk down in the mud slightly, as she stood just behind her, crouching down slightly and peering over her shoulder. She could see that he had wings...like Kahlen. So, that meant he was an angel, right...? Skye blinked slowly and then looked up, glancing at Kahlen, and then down at Griffin, and then slowly back up at Kahlen...

The world was dark, darker than he had ever remembered it. For the first time Griffin felt a pounding pressure in his head, he lifted his hands and lightly touched his forehead, his fingers were covered with blood. He couldn’t separate them because a thick rope tied his wrists together, pressing deeply into his skin. His wings felt heavy on his back, he tried lifting himself up but a stabbing pain was sent through his leg as he leaned on it. A broken leg, maybe. A sudden light appeared in the sky, growing bigger and brighter it was coming closer. It landed in front of him and flashed something at him, a sword; the cold metal was pressed against his neck, “How does it feel?” A voice boomed, Griffin glanced up closing one eye to block out the light, he found he could barely speak, “Cold…” The voice laughed. “No my friend, to experience the same others have felt because of you.” It had been an accident, but that wasn’t allowed when you were an angel. Now he was fallen, fallen from freedom. “They will hate you, you know, they will lie to you and cheat you, just like you have done. Finally you are among your own kind!” The voice seemed to be enjoying this. “Please... just one more chance” Griffin whispered, wincing with pain.
The raven landed on a branch in a tree nearby, sheltered from the rain, keeping a watchful eye on its master. The two souls seemed safe, but he wasn’t sure if they were what his master was looking for, the power in them was great though.
“Yes of course, another chance I suppose that’s what everyone wants.” The angel lifted the sword and twirled it around in its hands then suddenly raised it above his head and sliced it down through the air, directed at him. Griffin shut his eyes tightly not having enough time to think but instead of more pain from the sword he was relieved of the pressure in his wrists. The ropes had been cut leaving a deep mark in his wrists, as if he had been burned there. “I’ll give you your second chance, not that you deserve it. There is something in this world; it’s growing stronger an evil that I can’t explain. Destroy it and you will be accepted back.” “How can I find it?” Griffin asked attempting to get up, he had never felt such a pain before, he had never felt any pain before. He shifted a lot of weight on the leg that wasn’t broken, leaning against a tree. He was standing in the middle of a forest, it was silent accept for their voices. Suddenly a raven swooped down and landed next to Griffin cawing loudly, “Your guide.” The angel said then began lifting going backwards, its wings working furiously behind him as it lifted up into the air, “Remember what I have said!” Its voice was even louder now echoing throughout the whole forest, “They will lie to you, and deceive you! No one will love you here!”
Griffin blinked his eyes open feeling the same throbbing in his head that he had felt in the reminiscent, No one will love you here, the words echoed in his mind repeating over and over again. Rain pounded down against his face, but something else was there, it brushed against his cheek. His blue eyes looked up into the face of a girl; she had concern in her expression and curiosity. He lifted himself up, his leg still hurt from days before. The raven swooped down resting on his shoulder. Griffin’s black wings beat lightly helping to pull him back onto his feet; he was much taller now and towered over the two girls in front of him, his silver hair hung in his eyes dripping with water. But he couldn’t hold himself up for long and ended up stumbling forward as he took a step, silently he decided it would be better if he sat down. Griffin looked at the two of them unsure of what to say, they must have been wanting an explanation, but he wasn’t about to give them one or at least not yet. “I uh… I hope I didn’t scare you.” He laughed quietly; he was speaking to both of them but staring at the ground, gritting his teeth from the pain, everytime he breathed his sides hurt- probably more broken bones.

Skye scooted back a little as Griffin woke up, watching him with her hazel eyes. She couldn't remember seeing him at the school before and was slightly curious. Questions prodded at the back of her mind...but she kept her mouth closed. Sure, she wanted an explanation for all of this...But, she didn't think this was the right time to ask questions...plus, it was better the keep silent. She'd learned that...as long as she was 'invisible' she was safe. And, for a moment she wished that she would have been born with that power...and be able to actually become invisible. However, she had been born with other powers...much darker ones. She'd never told a soul what those powers were...and she wasn't sure that she ever would. Or, more like could...it was hard for most people to understand her difference... As Griffin spoke, Skye's eyes flickered from Kahlen, to Griffin, and then to the ground. She had decided that it was probably best to let Kahlen do the talking...she seemed a little better at it than Skye. Skye always got laughed at everytime she opened her mouth, anyway. Although, Kahlen hadn't laughed at her...She'd been the exact opposite of how most people were. She was even a little like Skye herself. Skye shuffled her feet in the damp ground, stirring up the mud slightly. There was a faint rumble of thunder overhead, causing her to glance up at the sky. "Uhh..." Skye hadn't meant to say anything...she had meant to stay silent. But for some reason she had opened her mouth and let out an 'uhh.' She closed it almost immediantly, but then realized that she would appear a little stupid if she didn't say anything else. She shook her head slowly as she said, "No...it's fine..." Skye was a little surprised that she had been the first to speak...she hadn't planned on saying anything at all. She blinked her hazel eyes slowly, and catching his expression, she added quietly, "Are you...all right...?"

His mind kept wandering back to days before, to when the angel had spoken to him. He could sense power in this place, something was lurking in these woods, possibly slipping past the trees like he had, like a dangerous shadow, he could feel the presence of the evil, it was stronger than ever before but left him no clues as to how to find it. It obviously did not want to be discovered yet. Griffin took a deep breath; the searing pain clutched his sides.
Yes, I sense it too.
The raven hopped down to his arm, and he gently stroked its head. He kept forgetting that it could hear his thoughts. It was a large bird much larger than the ones that flew around the forest. The bird’s beady eyes stared at the two girls as if trying to read their thoughts as well, its long beak was pointed up in the air and its chest was puffed out, in attempt to appear threatening. Griffin could see it through the corner of his eye, apparently the mind reading trick didn’t work both ways. He would try and search the bird’s thoughts but they were blocked off somehow, “Uhh.” Griffin looked up his silver hair hung in front of one eye, the girl without the wings had spoken, she looked nervous, and surprised as if shocked to hear her own voice.
“Are you alright?” she added, he could barely hear her.
Griffin looked at her for a moment, not saying anything. She had an aurora of innocence, but he could tell she was struggling with something, it wasn’t as great as his or the other angel, but there was something there. It was so easy to read a human; they were like an open book pouring out all of their information. The raven on his arm worked its way back up to his shoulder. “I’ve been better.” He said finally, his expression changing; there was humor in his eyes.
