Avi's lip started to curl up into a snarl, his hackles raised. He didn't like the angel with the black wings; but of course why would he? What the angels have done to him and his pair-bond...why should he trust anything anymore. He felt his claws click out, the soft earth seemed to scatter from them as he lowered his stance to the ground. His golden beast eyes held nothing more then revenge and anger....like you would see on any normal tiger. Hie gaze was locked on the angel with the sword....if he was here to hurt her....His tail terashed around as he perpared himself to attack. Kahlen stood up quickly, backing away from him as he stood. She felt exicted to see an angel, one of her race....but on the other hand she was frightened. She slowly moved backwards, feeling bad for leaving Skye to be the only one to speak. She couldn't....her throat was choked with emotion. She didn't trust her voice. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Avi ready to pounce....she didn't recongize him...he looked like primieval beast...not the tiger that could hold a intelliget conversation. Avi! You forget your place! she called to him though their link. Striding over and forgetting for a moment that she and Skye weren't alone. Placing her cool hand on his head, his snarling seemed to stop. His fur lay flat on his back, his eyes came back to the eyes she knew and loved. Bending foward she stroked his fur, locking her blue eyes on to his golden ones. If only you could remember what they did to you....and I couldn't do anything to stop them from hurting you that time. But when I saw him....all those memories flooded back. I couldn't control myself...and I'm ashamed. Smiling, tears forming in her eyes, blinking them away so not to look weak in front of her new friend and the angel. Don't be ashamed, Avi...I'm not ashamed of you... He purred just then, rubbing his head against her. She almost was knocked over by his sheer weight, but glady her wings were there to hold her up. After calming the tiger, she stood back up, though her right hand still lay on his head. She glanced at Skye, then to the roots in front of the angel with black wings, unsure of what to say. I mean what do you say to someone of your own race....when they beat you...stole your memories....named you a disgrace.....pronouced you as a fallen angel....she commited a crime....high treason...though she couldn't remember a d**n thing....the angels made sure of that. But what do you say....well you say nothing...let them acount for their own sins....let him speak first....

The raven squawked at the tiger, staring at him with black eyes. He wouldn’t let that cat touch his master, they had come too far and he knew that his master was too weak to fight right now.
It’s ok; I don’t think their going to hurt us.
Griffin gently rubbed the raven’s head again; its black feathers were glossy and smooth, much like his own wings that were now folded behind him. He was always given odd looks whenever someone saw him from outside of the forest, as if they were afraid of him, like at any moment he might send down an army of angels to destroy them. If only he had the power.
I don’t trust them.
It was beginning to rain even harder now, Griffin could hear the raindrops against the tops of the trees, the water poured through any gaps between the branches. He took another deep breath, regretting it immediately; it was so difficult to breath with the pain. He looked at the winged girl, she wasn’t saying anything. There was an awkward silence now that he couldn’t stand to here, he hated feeling lonely… rejection. Though that was the life of a fallen angel, they will never love you here. The words haunted him. He looked at the tiger, it looked like it was about ready to pounce with the slightest movement, but Griffin couldn’t move anyways.
“Your uh… tiger doesn’t trust me does he?” Griffin looked up at the girl, neither of them did, “I’m used to it…. not many do. I guess he has good reason not to. Animals can sense those kinds of things…” He was trying to hide the pain, though the past was often hard to escape, “But I’m not here to gain anyone’s trust, I'm here because I need your help.”

Looking up from the roots at the feet of the black winged angel, she searched his face. Anything to trigger a memory. But nothing. Avi still growled but not a harsh as before, he was still tense and stressed. A few rian drops fell on her head, glancing up she heard a thunder clap. Another storm was coming. Her blue eyes found the angel's again, her own were filled with hidden rage and anger at the one of her race. He may not be the same angels that stole her life, but he was the only one to vent her anger at. All she wanted to do was scream and slapped him in his face. Ask him why she was caste out of heaven...why her memory was taken away? What crime she commited?...but she didn't do that. She knew, somehow, that wasn't the way to handle an angel. "Why don't you sit before you past out again. Those broken ribs obvisily hurt."she said cooly, her light blue eyes unreadable for a moment, her small hands on her hips "And please don't try and be all mucho about it, you probably are in a great deal of pain. No need to hide it, I can see." Even though her voice had a slight hint of coldness, it was still light and musical...still like an angel.
Kahlen...I don't trust him...and that raven...
Avi growled, his fur bristling under her hand, he couldn't just couldn't trust another angel...not after what they did...not after what they would have done if....
Avi please....he can't do anything...he has several borken ribs...and it looks like a newly healed leg. she explained, trying to reassure the tiger, it didn't seem to work very well.

“Ok,” he said laughing slightly, “I guess I can’t hide the truth forever.” Griffin sat back down on a nearby rock, she looked like someone he shouldn’t mess with, especially if she could tame one of those tigers, but then again she was an angel.
They might be able to get you help; I saw a building with more like them.
“But I need a…” He stopped for a moment trying to remember the word. On his way here someone had been kind enough to take him in, a human; they said he needed, “A doctor.” he finished, his blue eyes looking up at them, searching for any recognition of the word in their faces. He hadn’t stayed with that human for long; he had run off once he realized that the evil was not near. There was no time to waste on this earth; every moment was closer to death. Death, the word repeated in his mind. It seemed so unreal before but now he could almost feel it, almost taste a little of it. Griffin took another deep breath, and winced as he was reminded of the pain.
So you trust them now?
The raven sat perched on his shoulder, still acting like a superior being to them all.
No, but I trust that you know what you’re doing. I can sense that it is very near, and fresh.
So can I, I have a feeling that if we convince them that we’re harmless they might lead us to it, whether they want to or not.
The raven crowed, as if it were laughing, the noise echoed throughout the forest and wasn’t a pleasant one. But Griffin’s face stayed straight, except for his eyes, his eyes were saying that he knew something he wasn’t telling them, like they were fools to trust him and yet he knew they would.

Ebony let out a loud mew, with a hint of suspiscion, poking her head out of the bag that was hanging over Skye's shoulder. Immediantly, Skye gave the bag a quick nudge with her elbow, shaking the kitten back inside. She hadn't said anything for a while now, she was just standing there, watching now. She had three powers. The first, in which she could talk to the dead...communicate with those on the other side. The second, she could transform into a black wolf...not during the day...just during the night. And, the third.... She could read people's minds. She could do it whenever she wanted, it was quite simple actually. And the best thing was that not a single person knew that Skye possessed this power, she never told anyone. It was quite tempting at times...and often proved to be useful. However, Skye tried not to do that, read people's minds. She knew that it was prying into people's lives, learning things that she wasn't supposed to know, snooping. Although...right now, as she looked over at Griffin, Skye desperately wanted to use that power, sensing that there was something she was missing. But, she didn't... "A doctor...I believe that there is one back at the school...Isn't there, Kahlen?" She glanced over her shoulder towards where Kahlen was standing with Avi. There had to be a doctor there, right...? Skye was fairly new to the school though and wasn't sure where everything and everyone was located. And, to help that out...she often missed classes, coming here to be alone. "Well...I'm sure there's a doctor there..." Her voice had become ever so slightly louder, as if she were becoming a little more sure of herself, slightly less timid. She fiddled with a strand of her black hair, twisting it around her finger. She didn't like keeping secrets from people...And she didn't like having secrets kept from her, either. She didn't say anything though, not letting on that she knew something was up. Skye may have been quiet...and she may have seemed a little slow at first...But actually, she was very clever, very clever...She just never let onto it. She stood there, having the ability to know what they were all thinking, but yet...she was choosing not to use that power... At least, not yet. "We could...show you the way, if you want," she said after a few moments.

Kahlen fetl very uncomfortable, she crossed her arms against her chest, trying to find reassurance. Avi rubbed his head against her leg, his eyes still on the angel and the raven. Letting out a quiet breathe she let Skye do the talking. She didn't know if the school had a doctor....maybe one of the students that were healers could help. But she didn't know for a fact that they could even help him. Her blue eyes glanced up to the tree tops, leaves waving slightly in the breeze. Small rain drops falling on her head, the smell of fresh pine needles and dirt. The scent of rain, spreading across the forest like wild fire. When Skye offered to show him the way to the school, she blanched. Her face went white, her blue eyes horrified for a moment. For some reason she didn't want to show him the school, their was something about him that she couldn't trust. He was hiding something....and she didn't like it. But then she could tell Tristan about him, Tristan could keep an eye on him....then maybe she wouldn't ahve to worry about him. She desperatly wanted to know about her past...but he probably couln't or wouldn't help.

Griffin looked up gratefully, maybe even a bit surprised that they would know of a doctor nearby, "Yeah, that would be great." he said, they were doing exactly what he had said they would, helping him in ways more than one. Not many took the time to care about him, he was the strange black winged angel, many were busy being cautious of him but it didn't really bother him, he had expected it. He stood back up holding onto a nearby tree for support, and his wings beat steadily behind him so that he wouldn't stumble foward again. He thought again of the angel that had originally sent him on this mission, it's wings had been white, though he hadn't been able to recoginize the face it had been hidden by the light. Woods and trees would always remind him of that evening, though like a forest was suppose to be peaceful that's not what it represented for him. It represented hurt, or fear, probably the same it represented for a deer always alert of hunters. But there was a difference, he wasn't being hunted he was doing the hunting. "You two go to school around here?" he asked, that must have been the building the raven had seen. The school must have really wanted isolation from the rest of the world, because it defiantly found it, he wouldn't mind staying there if it meant avoiding some hateful stares from humans, and the main reason getting closer to the evil. But it made him wonder why they would want to be so confined, what were they hiding from? Once the evil was destroyed he could leave this dark world and not have to worry about it and return to the one he knew and grew up in, the one where someone loved him. Griffin thought of those beautiful green eyes, always full of laughter, he was so close to seeing them again and apologizing to her. But thinking of her only made him depressed, he would have to focus on his mission here. The words that the angel had told him kept echoing in his mind, They will never trust you... So far it had been right, he could see the distrust in everyone's eyes, even his own kind. Griffin looked up at the girl with the wings, she seemed hesitant about taking him to the school. The raven lifted up into the sky flying high above them, always aware of what was ahead and behind them.

Kahlen...you have broken the highest law in our land. For that your punishment is banishment from heaven! Your mind will be emptied of all memories, and from this day foreward you are disowned. You will never be able to grace the halls of heaven again...you are now a fallen angel. Fallen out of grace with your people. You are dead to us now....
The cold voice flooded Kahlen's ears, making her more pale then she already was. All the light was swept out of her eyes. She gasped loudly, covering her mouth with her hand, the other still holding onto Avi's fur. She remembered shivering on a ice cold stone floor, a spear landed near her back, the voice booming across the cave, echoing against the hard grantie stone. Fresh tears ran down her face, her once lovely blue hair was now chopped short, matted filled with knots and tangles.
You have disgraced the holy name of Angel, you have disgraced the whole of heaven with your crimes and treason. You are a failure to this race and to this people! Fall down to earth with no memories...only a name for you to hold.
A single tear ran down her face, closing her eyes tight she gasped again. A single memory...even if it was dark and distrubing. She remembered something....some shred of edvidence that she had a life before this. She quickly remembered there were people here watching, their stares made her uncomfortable. Even if it was Skye....she felt vulunable....exposed. Turning around rapidly, her hand still covering her mouth. Glancing down at Avi, she shook her head telling him not to follow...she needed to think on her own. Stepping away she fled the scene...she couldn't handle it. Walking quickly she moved pasted the rock where Skye had been singing earlier, then farthur into the forest. Her footsteps silent as cloud in the sky. The fresh smell of pine needles calmed her for a moment...but she couldn't face the angel...at least not yet...

(( Sorry!! There have been painters and carpet people and... yeah. We are moving, thats why. ))
Skye blinked coming out of her thoughts, and glanced over her shoulder towards Griffin. "Oh, umm... yes," she said quietly. "We go to school out here... I guess it's pretty isolated..." She trailed off, looking down at Ebony. The kitten was once again trying to struggle free of the bag. With a quiet sigh, Skye gently shoved her back inside, and then added, "Kinda in the middle of nowhere... I guess." Skye hadn't really thought about if before. She'd just assumed that the school was so isolated because there were so many people who possessed powers attending, and it might be safer out here. But, could there be another reason to go along with that one...? She wasn't really sure. But right now she didn't really find it that important to think about. Skye turned to where Kahlen was, about to say something to her friend. she turned just in time to see Kahlen running away, back in the direction that they'd been earlier. Skye watched her go in confusion, not really knowing why she was leaving. "Kahlen...!" Skye called after her, but she had already disappeared. Had one of them said something to offend her...? She wasn't sure. Skye had the urge to run after her, but she decided against it. Now that Kahlen was gone, some of Skye's confidence slipped away. Skye had begin to consider her a friend...something she didn't have any of. And with her around, she felt a little more confident. Skye slowly turned back towards Griffin, unsure of what to say. She fiddled with her hair a little and looked over at him.

Griffin watched her leave, he had seen that tear. He knew there had been something troubling her, but he usually wasn’t one to pry and he wasn’t about to start. It wasn’t any of his business and yet he couldn’t help but wonder what had gone wrong. “Did I say something wrong?” He thought aloud. It reminded him of the day he had been banished to this earth, ripped away from everything he knew in a very ungraceful way. Kahlen… that’s what the girl had called her and now he had a name to identify her with, she reminded him of someone. This someone had run just like Kahlen had, ran as fast as she could away from her troubles, she hadn’t wanted to face him. And he understood why, after all it wasn’t very admirable to commit such a sin that he had. And yet he wished that she would have faced him, not even on their last day would she look at him. They had all been ordered to not have any communication with him. Old anger built up inside of him he needed someone to blame, but he knew it had been his fault.
Griffin looked up at the girl pushing the memories to the back of his mind; he had a mission to focus on. The girl seemed kind of nervous now that her angel friend had left, now that she was left alone in the woods with someone like him. Or maybe she was more worried for her friend than about herself at the moment, it didn’t matter he just needed to get to that school.

Skye didn't say anything for a few moments. She glanced over her shoulder in the direction Kahlen had disappeared in. She sighed to herself, wanting to know what had gone wrong. She diverted her gaze back towards Griffin and said quietly, "I don't think so..." Neither of them had really said much. And what they had talked about didn't really seem like something that would be offensive. All she knew that something was troubling Kahlen, she could sense that. Ever since Griffin had come she had seemed a little different from before. Skye wasn't really sure exactly what had happened though. Skye looked at the ground, shuffling her feet around in the mud, which the bottom of her black boots were now covered in. She was silent for a little while, unsure of what to say, lost in her thoughts. There was the rumble of thunder overhead, snapping her back to reality. She looked up, and then over towards Griffin. She blinked her hazel eyes slowly. "Ohh, right... The school." She shook her head slightly, clearing her thoughts. Her gaze drifted towards the pathway she often used, which lead back through the forest and to the school. "It's this way..." She raised a hand and gave a slight gesture towards the path. She drew it back as the wind blew, blowing cold raindrops into her face, and wrapped it around herself. "It's not too far from here.. just down that way." She took a step towards the pathway and then looked back at Griffin.

((Sorry it took so long i've been really busy with this one site that i'm making/ and sorry this is such a crappy post. *no muse*)
Griffin stood up allowing his wings to carry most of his weight. It had been a long day and he couldn't wait to be able to relax and gather his thoughts for the first time. "Ok, lead the way." He said following after her. The raven still flew high in the air keeping a watchful eye on the forest, he watched as the girl ran off not bothering to see where she was going. He had a mission as well, make sure that his master completed his and he was going to make sure nothing distracted him from it, though he wasn't one to be distracted.
