Name: Rai Terin
Gender: Female
Power: Shape-shifting - Essentially, Rai has 3 forms. Human, demi, and hawk. The first is, of course, her natural form. The last is that of a hawk, distinguishable by it's blue-gray eyes rather than standard gold. The middle is a half-form, human with gold-feathered wings sprouting from the shoulder blades. Though, her wings, in either full or demi-form, are very sensitive. A well-placed blow can leave her completely incapacitated from the searing pain.
Hydrokinesis - The well-known ability to move water with a single thought, though it uses much of her energy, more or less depending on the complexity of the movement and the amount of time she keeps it up for.
Age: Fifteen
Personality: Rai is generally an indifferent person, just going with the flow, doing what others want to do because she doesn't care to argue. It's actually a pet peeve of hers, arguments. They give her a really bad migraine, and unleash an anger seldom seen, where she just blows up at anyone who accidentally treads on a nerve.
She's very out-going, almost unable to thrive without human contact, though, just like everyone else, she needs her alone time or else she goes insane.
Throughout her life, Rai has always felt more comfortable around the guys, finding most girls were interested in completely different things from herself.
General Appearance: Rai isn't exactly that formidable looking, around the height of five-two and on the rounder side of average weight. Rimmed by thick eyelashes, her blue-gray eyes rest over high cheekbones. Her light brown hair tumbles down to her mid-back, but is usually caught up in a messy bun.
Her skin is lightly tanned, callused on her hands and feet, cuticles ruined by her excessive nail-biting.
Rai is most often found in her demi-form, golden hawk wings emerging from her back, most often folded in around her shoulders to keep her from knocking over things.

History: Rai was born, fifteen years ago, into a family that long had a tradition of being shape-shifters, side power showing up along the way as well. No one is exactly sure how the gifts came to be, but they've prospered throughout the generations.
All the more mysterious is that, unlike other shape-shifters, they are gifted with only one animal form and a demi-form of that animal. no one questions it, and it's rarely discussed within the family, though family friends often ask such questions, purely out of curiosity.
Anyways, Rai was born into this family, a well-off one, and grew up a normal life. It was another family trait, over the years they'd learned how to live a normal life. Her classmates never did become suspicious of the rare slip-ups that occurred around Rai.
But she wanted something more exciting, something where she could use her powers freely. And thus, she ended up in the Magic Forest.

Rairii frowned, if only slightly, and looked at Sarumi, eyebrow raised. As much as she'd love to take revenge on the soldier who'd gotten her into this mess, she preferred the thought of a real meal to being caught by that brute again. She almost couldn't remember the last time she'd had a full dinner. There'd been very few in the past 2 years and it was her own fault. To proud to take pity from anyone else, to ashamed to go back home. She felt her face grew warm at the memory of why she wasn't back home, showing up the village boys or pestering her mother to no end. Inclining her head slightly to Sarumi, as some sort of an informal half-bow, she made her way across the worn path to the hut, deep in thought all the way. Maybe she'd been too quick to judge these people. They'd been kind, offering her a job and a place to stay. Still she'd stuck with her sarcastic ways, always having some sort of comment to say. She shook her head and grimaced. What happened, Rairii? You used to be convinced that accepting help was for the weak. You'd survived all these years without anyone's help. The battle within her head raged on, Rairii's face was directed towards the ground, looking intently at the shadows the setting sun was throwing everywhere. It wasn't until pure instinct made her head shoot up that she realized she was about to run into the hut. She stopped and knocked on the wall next to the door, calling out in a rather monotone voice, masking the emotions provoked by her memories, "Hello? It's Rairii."
